Regarding the first instance judgment rendered against Former-President Chen Shui-bian and other defendants for committing the offences of corruption and negligence of duties, the Special Investigation Division of the Supreme Prosecutors Office (SPO) has already filed an appeal with the Taiwan High Court today (18th of September) based on the fact that the partial judgment was made by inappropriate fact and punishment determination and law application.
