The resignation of Prosecutor General Chen Tsung-ming of this Office has been approved by Order of the President. In accordance with instructions issued by the Secretary of the Presidential Office in Letter Hua-Zhong-1-Li-Zi No. 0990019500, dated January 22, 2010, his remaining duties shall be assumed by Chief Prosecutor Tseng Yung-fu of the Supreme Prosecutors Office. The relevant transfer procedures were completed on January 26, 2010.

In the joint investigation by the Special Investigation Division of this Office and the Prosecutors Office of the Taipei District Court of the Taishin Holdings-Chang Hwa Bank merger case, the Northern Mobile Work Group of the Investigation Bureau and prosecutor investigators were instructed to conduct searches at 11 locations including the premises of Taishin Holdings at around 13:30 today (February 5).
