“Amazing 20-opening ceremony of the Agency History Room to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the AEA” held successfully

From January 1, 2000, the AEA has been established for 20 years. At 9:30 am today, the “Amazing 20-opening ceremony of the Agency History Room to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the AEA” has been held on the 9th floor of the AEA.

Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Justice Ming-Tang Chen, former Vice President of Judicial Yuan Chung-Mo Cheng, former Justice of Constitutional Court Xi-Yao Lin, Prosecutor-General of Supreme Prosecutors Office Hui-Ming Chiang, Chief Prosecutor of Taiwan High Prosecutors Office Tai-Chao Hsing, Chief Prosecutor of Taiwan High Prosecutors Office, Tainan Branch, Chin-Yun Chang, Chief Prosecutor of Taipei Shilin Prosecutors Office Chia-Chi Chu, Director-General of the Investigation Bureau of the Ministry of Justice, Wen-Chung Lu and former Director-General of the AEA Chao-Sung Lin and other former Directors-General had attended the ceremony.

At the beginning of the ceremony, the enforcement officer of the AEA presented a comic dialog with some humorous conversation. The two officers introduced the establishment of the AEA and all the high profile cases handled in their dialog. The public and guests could feel the vitality and the joy of being in existence for twenty years from the atmosphere made by the lively performance.

After the ceremony, a video with the topic of "Review and Prospects of the AEA" was played. The video introduced the amendment history of the Administrative Execution Act, the obstacles and difficulties encountered by the AEA during its founding period and the advancing services from time to time to cooperate with the policies to implement justice, provide caring services for the disadvantaged and support the public with high-quality services. All personnel of the AEA have done their best to create a good performance in the history of the AEA. Those present at the ceremony cheered and witnessed the growth and glory of the AEA and all its branches.

During the speech of the Director-General of the AEA, Ching-Tsung Lin, he first thanked all the officers and guests who attended the ceremony and said that all achievements of the AEA shall be credited to all officers in all levels and the instructions of the Minister of Justice Chin-Shan Tsai. He also thanked all personnel for their hard work and the foundation built by former Directors-General and directors of branches. With their excellent leadership, AEA can overcome all the difficulties and achieve good performances.

The Director-General expected that the personnel of the AEA continue to demonstrate the power of government, practice fairness and justice, improve their business and quality of services. For the next brilliant 20 years, he hopes that the AEA can use the innovating foresight to decide on their direction and uphold the core values of justice and care.

Minister of Justice Tsai prepared a special video to thank all the personnel's hard work in the past twenty years, because he was unable to attend due to the answer of interpellation in the Legislative Yuan. He also praised the innovative services provided for the public and demonstrated vitality of the agency; affirmed the effective enforcement measures implemented during the epidemic prevention period and cooperated with other government policies to prevent and contain the epidemic. Their performance is highly commended by the public. The Minister also hoped that all personnel could continue to improve the performance efficiency and create a positive image for the agency.

Former Vice President of the Judicial Yuan Chung-Mo Cheng, the promoter of the AEA said that the establishment of the AEA was an epoch-making move.

All personnel were expected to value the principles of fairness and proportionality, balancing justice and people's rights and interests, and safeguarding human dignity.

Former Justice of the Constitutional Court Xi-Yao Lin said that the establishment of the AEA, the world's first enforcement agency for monetary obligations under public laws, was not an easy accomplishment.

He hoped that the agency could pursue excellence, complete various enforcement regulations, establish a sustainable system and become international.

After the speeches, the ceremony of unveiling "Agency History Room" started. The Agency History Room displays various historical photos, cultural relics and honorable records, etc. The history, system, policy developments and performance of the AEA were fully presented in it and allowed the public to get to know the inheritance and value of the work of administrative enforcement.

The ten honored guests, included the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Justice Ming-Tang Chen, former Vice President of Judicial Yuan Chung-Mo Cheng, former Justice of Constitutional Court Xi-Yao Lin who jointly completed the unveiling ceremony. The ceremony was completed successfully after the honored guests pulled down the red curtain ribbon, which symbolized the opening of the brilliant history of the AEA over the past 20 years and moving toward to a brighter future for the Agency.

The event ended successfully after the officers, the guests, former Directors-General, former Chief Director of the branches and the 13 Chief Directors of the branches had a group photo together. All the officers, the guests and personnel present gave their blessings to the event and the Agency.
