>Countries with which Taiwan has mutual legal assistance agreements should comply with any relevant provisions of the Law and agreements as regards transmission of requests.
>Countries with which Taiwan has no mutual legal assistance agreements may request through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Taiwan.
‧Types of Assistance
Taiwan may provide mutual legal assistance in respect of criminal matters including the following:
a. Taking of evidence or testimony
b. Locating or identifying persons
c. Serving documents
d. Transferring persons in custody for testimony or other purposes
e. Executing requests for searches and seizures
f. Assisting in proceedings related to immobilization and forfeiture of assets, restitution, or collection of fines
g. Any other form of assistance not contrary to the laws of Taiwan.
