Sep. 27, 2018: Transnational Cooperation with Thailand to Seize 355 Kilograms of Methamphetamine

MJIB cooperated with the Office of Narcotics Control Board (ONCB) and the seventh military of Thailand to seize 355 kilograms of methamphetamine in a rental house in Pattaya and arrested one Taiwanese suspect who is responsible for delivering drugs of which local price is 6.16 million USD. The seized drugs hidden in tea packages and bundled with sacks came from Golden Triangle in Myanmar and were delivered by the Taiwanese suspect to the above rental house. When he was waiting for other accomplices to pack drugs, the Thailand police broke inside.

To carry out the plan to combat drugs and indications from the Dean of the Executive Yuan to strengthen international cooperation to block drugs from abroad, MJIB will continue to work with legal enforcement agencies from abroad and the Mainland China and promote to combat smuggled drugs through international cooperation and anti-drug agreements and MOU.
